Geo 2/28/11

The students need to finish their Africa and European study worksheet. This will be collected Wednesday for a homework grade. The students need to continue to work on the Unit 4 Vocab Sheet, this is due test day.
Please note that the grade sheet hanging in the classrooms reflects the students report card grade, unless they have completed makeup work. The grading period ends Wednesday.

AP World 2/25/11

The students need to finish reading chapter 20 and should be ready for a RQ on Tuesday. The Chapter 20 Guided Reading is due Tuesday. Also students need to read pages 119-123 in the document book. They need to answer questions 1-6 on page 123 and turn it in Tuesday. Students that were absent today need to get a document book from me on Monday or they can borrow a document book from another student.

Geo 2/25/11

Geo students took notes on resources for economic geography. Tonight they need to finish writing their closing arguements for the debate that took place in class on coal vs. nuclear power. This should be a least half a page long. It is due Monday.

Geo 2/24/11

For homework tonight the students need to finish their "economic activity" sheet, front and back. This will be collected Friday for a grade. The students should also start working on their economic vocabulary sheet. Ms. Sabey will be checking the students progress on this sheet throughout next week. The voacbulary sheet is expected to be done and turned in on the day of the economic test, which is next Friday March 4th.

Students need to read pages 447-461 and be ready for a reading quiz Friday. The students also need to finish their Chapter 20 guided reading by Tuesday.

2/23/11 Geo

The students took their Quarter 1 exam today. They need to finish the work that was assigned on Monday and be ready for a reading quiz on the pages that were assigned to read Monday.

The students got their 1st 9 weeks review guide. They have been given all the answers. The student's homework is to study for their 9 weeks test. They will take this test Wednesday 2/23! Study!!!!!! This test counts 10% of their report card grade.
The homework assigned yesterday (Monday) will be collected Wednesday.

AP World 02/21/11

The students took notes on the first half of chapter 19 today. They need to be ready for a reading quiz on the whole chapter next class. Next class Guided Reading Chapter 19 due.
Students also need to read pages 102-106 in the document book and answer question 3-6 on page 106. This will be collected for homework Wednesday.
Possible DBQ next class.

Geo 02/21/11

The Geo students took a Test today. They need to read pages 105-110 for homework. Be ready for a reading quiz Tuesday. They also need to answer Map Study Questions 1-2 on page 106, Graph Study Questions 1-2 on page 108, and Questions 1-4, 7, & 8 on page 110. This will be collected tomorrow for a homework grade.

The students need to make flash cards of the following words for homework: Religion, Hinduism, Judaism, Christianity, Islam, Buddhism, Monotheism, Polytheism, and Animism. All of these can be found in the textbook.
There will be a quiz on these words tomorrow.

AP 2/17/11

I lectured on chapter 18 today. Chapter 18 guided readings are due Monday. I also gave a guided reading for Chapter 19. This is due Wednesday. Have pages 419-431 read by Monday and be ready for a reading quiz.

AP 2/15

Students took their Age of Discovery Test today. Students were given a guided reading activity for chapter 18. This is due Monday. Students should read all of chapter 18 by Thursday, pages 403-417. This is a short chapter (only 14 pages) so read the whole thing and be ready for a reading quiz Thursday.

I post poned the test until Tuesday. review sheets are due Tuesday. Test will be Tuesday. Essay Thesis are on CCOT Colombian Exchange 1400-1700, what stayed the same throughout and what changed because of contacts between New World and Europe.
Comp. on Spain and Portugal to one of the following: French, British, Dutch in regards to colonies and exploration.

The student took notes on Map Projections and Thematic Maps. Tonight for homework they need to finish their map projection worksheet that we started in class, they need to finish their mental map of their neighborhood drawing and they need to study for their latitude and longitude quiz that we have tomorrow.

Students need to read Chapter 17 and finish the guided reading by Monday.
