AP World 9/26

AP students finished their lecture on Chapter 4. Tonight for HW they need to write a comparative essay comparing the Political systems of Athenian Greece and Persia. Students need to follow the rubric for comparative essays. Students also need to read the first half of chapter 5 pages 141-153 and be ready for a reading quiz on Wednesday.

Geo 9/19/11

All Geo students took notes on Map Projections today and two quizzes. One on Latitude and Longitude and the other on Current Events. 4th period students need to finish the Map Projection worksheet for homework if they did not already finished it in class. 1st and 6th period students have no homework. Everyone should be studying for our first test on Friday!

AP World History 9/16/11

The AP students took their first test today. I will have grades for them by Thursday at the latest. They need to review chapters 2 and 3 this weekend. They do not need to read those chapters in depth but be familiar with the info to prepare for our lecture on Tuesday. We will not have a Reading Quiz (RQ) on those chapters. Our next RQ will be on Thursday and it will cover pages 106-124.

All Geo students need to complete their sketch map of their house or neighborhood for homework tonight. 1st periods maps are due Friday. 4th and 6th period student's sketch maps are due Monday. All Geo students have a latitude and longitude quiz on Monday. All Geo students also have a Current Events Quiz on Monday!

Test on Friday. Test will cover chapter one of the Stearns textbook. Bring back the Stearns textbook Friday to turn in so that you can be issued a new textbook. 5th period student's religion charts are due Friday.

4th and 6th period geo students need to study for a quiz on the 5 themes of Geography that they will take on Thursday!

3rd and 5th period students have a comparative essay on the river valley civilizations on Wednesday. We will finish our notes on Wednesday and take a test on Chapter One of Stearns on Friday.
3rd period students need to complete the religion chart for a grade by Wednesday. 5th period students have until Friday to complete the religion chart.

World Geo 9/12

1st period world geo students took notes on the intro to geography and did an atlas activity. They do not have homework tonight.
