Geo 1/10/11
The students took notes on Australia today. I graded their maps and returned them in class. We will have a Map Quiz tomorrow in class. We will also have a quiz on the notes we took today. The following places could be on the map quiz tomorrow: Indian Ocean, Pacific Ocean, Indonesia, Papua New Guinea, Fiji, New Zealand, Australia, Solomon Islands, Western Australia, South Australia, Queensland, Tasmania, Australia Capital Territory, Brisbane, Wellington, Murray River, Darling River, Coral Sea, Great Dividing Range, and the Great Barrier Reef.

Students worked on a map of Australia today. Any maps not finished need to be done for homework. Students also got a Australia guided reading activity. This needs to be completed for homework and brought back to class Monday. The students will have a reading quiz on the guided reading activity on Monday.
AP World 1/7/11
Students took their test on Asia and the Mongols today. They also received a Chapter 15 guided reading activity. This activity is due Tuesday and they will have a reading quiz. Read all of Chapter 15 byu Tuesday.

The Geo students took a current event quiz today. They also worked on a Russia Guided reading worksheet that was collected at the end of class. If they did not finish in class they were allowed to take it home to work on. The students will have a map quiz tomorrow (Wed). The following places could be on the map quiz:

AP students should be reviewing chapters 12,13,and 14 for their test on Friday. The students also need to prepare to write their Comparative essay on Japanese and European Feudalism for Wednesday. We will have an after school study session this Thursday in Cafe 3.

Happy New Year! The geo students took physical notes on Russia today and worked on their maps. Most students finished their maps and turned them in for a grade. All other maps need to be completed tonight and turned in tomorrow for a grade. We will take our Map Quiz this Wednesday and have our test on Russia this Thursday.
