1/29/13 and 1/30/13 AP World History

Today I lectured on the first half of chapter 18.  Students need to read pages 534-the end of chapter 18 and be ready for a Reading Quiz on all of Chapter 18 next class.  Students will also take a test on chapter 16-18 on Monday 2/4 and Tuesday 2/5.  Students got their review sheets for this in class today.  There will be an after school study session on Thursday 1/31, location TBD.

AP World History DBQ

The following DBQ is due the first day of the new semester.  The DBQ is titled "Why Europe?".  This DBQ is a PDF file.  I couldn't figure out how to create a link so what you need to do is google "Why Europe DBQ" and it should be the first link on the google list.  It is by White Plains Public Schools.  Use the documents to answer the following question:  "Using the documents determine why was it Europe, and not
anyone else, who explored and conquered the rest of the world?  What kinds of additional documents would help you answer the question?"
