9 Weeks Test Dates

Because of Hurricane Sandy our testing schedule has changed.  Here are the upadated dates:

2nd and 4th Period Geography-Thursday Nov. 1
5th Period Geography-Friday Nov. 2
3rd Period AP World History-Friday Nov. 2
6th Period AP World History-Thursday Nov. 1

10/25 and 10/26 World Geo

All world geography students took their Unit 3 Test last class.  We will review for the 9 weeks test in class on Monday and Tuesday.  Students will take the 9 weeks test on Wednesday (2nd and 4th period) or Thursday (5th period).

10/25 &10/26 AP World

6th period has their CCOT essay on Monday 10/29. They will take their 9 weeks exam on Friday November 2nd.  Please read pages 253-263 by Friday Nov. 2nd.

3rd Period has their CCOT essay on Tuesday 10/30.  They will take their 9 weeks exam on Thursday November 1st.  Please read pages 253-263 by Thursday Nov. 1st.

The prompt for the CCOT essay is "Describe the continuities and changes over time on the Arabian Peninsula in regards to Political, Economic, Relgious, and Social characteristics between the years 570-1258CE."

***Don't forget Historical Evidence, World Historical Context, and Analysis***

3rd Period- Read pages 232 to the end of chapter 8. Be ready for a RQ on Thursday.

10/24 Geo

5th Period- Students got a review sheet today and will take their test on Unit 3 on Friday.  They should be studying for Unit 3 test!

6th Period- Read pages 232 to the end of chapter 8.  Be ready for a RQ on Thursday.

2nd and 4th Period students got their reviews today.  They need to study for their test that is on Thursday!

AP World History NEW POLICY for EXTRA CREDIT

For extra credit you can use parent express to find your lowest reading quiz grade.  Use the chapter that the quiz was on and answer the questions listed at the very begining of the chapter.  The questions are identified by the blue squares.  For example, there are four questions on page 227 that you would answer if chapter 8 were your lowest reading quiz grade.  You can do this for up to 3 reading quizzes!  This is due before the end of the marking period (November 5th).

10/22 AP World

3rd Period- took their test today. Chart on Islamic Empires are due Friday. Read pages 227-239 before next class.

10/19 AP World

6th Period-took their test today. Islam chart is due Thursday.  Read pages 227-239 by Tuesday.

Geogrpahy 10/18

5th Period- We took a religion quiz today. No homework tonight.

3rd Period- Test on Monday. STUDY!!!!!

10/16 AP World History

3rd Period- There will be a test on Monday for chapter 4-7. The students got a review sheet today. There will be an after school study session on Thursday in Cafe 3. The students need to have chapter 7 by Friday. Bring books to next class!

10/16 Geography

5th Period- students finished their religion notes today.  They will have a quiz on religions on Thursday.
